Michele, Hawai’i

Aloha,

I live in a remote, rural part of Hawai’i. I feel so deeply grateful that our little part of this great and fascinating world attracted such a gifted and talented yoga teacher as Laha Sunyoung… and that I got the enormous gift and honor to practice with her.
I have studied and taught yoga for more than half of my life now and had the chance to take many many yoga classes over the years, but none have been as moving and heart opening as Laha’s classes.
She has a natural gift for sharing and guiding her students through breathing and movement exercises with gentleness, a calm presence and a lightness of being that is an absolutely marvelous combination to experience.
She is an incredibly rare person, who can not only do what she teaches with amazingly adept skill, but can also convey and teach these things as well. Many can do and not teach, others can teach and not do – but she is master of both. A very rare teacher indeed!
I observed and admired her ability to make everyone, at every level of physical capacity, feel welcome and capable throughout her classes.
Everyone of every age and experience, gets the reward of being projected forward into their very own “future self” as she calls it. And with her wisdom to guide you along, you would be conveyed toward your own as well… should you be so fortunate to have the chance to practice with her!

If I could make any wish regarding Laha Sunyoung, it would be only to get more time to learn from her depth of knowledge, and to basque in her exquisite presence more and more.

Mahalo e nā akua for bringing her to us here, on our little dot in the ocean. And for bringing me across her path.

Me ke aloha,
